DeWAL is a major supplier of skived UHMW and PTFE films for
industrial, chemical and fuel hoses and is now the only
manufacturer offering the hose industry a full line of high
performance films for liners, permeation barriers and overwraps.
Surface treatments for enhanced bonding;
A variety of surface treatments are available to enhance the
bonding of UHMW or PTFE films to suit your advanced hose
structures.
Available treatments include:
UHMW - Flame or Corona Treatment
PTFE - Sodium Naphthalene and Sodium Ammonia Treatment
DeWAL can offer you these surface modified materials with a wide
range of primers and bond enhancing materials to improve your
bond to hose linings and covers.
Hose designs today face more demanding performance
specifications, ranging from temperature, pressure and tensile
strength to chemical and abrasion resistance and electrostatic
dissipation.
You can take advantage of Virgin and specially modified PTFE
films as liners in chemical transfer and PTFE convoluted hoses.
It’s also possible to apply UHMW-PE films for use as inner
liners, permeation-barriers, and abrasion resistant outer wraps
for chemical hoses.
