Unsintered PTFE
Unsintered PTFE is produced through a paste extrusion
process. The Film has a density about 70% that of skived or
fully sintered PTFE film and the primary applications for
unsintered or extruded PTFE film is insulation for high
temperature wire & cable.
Another applications where unsintered PTFE can be used is as a
lining material for convoluted hose. Many of these applications
are sintered secondarily to fuse the product together into a
solid film. DeWAL unsintered films are listed as our DW 203
products and are available in natural, white and many colors
used mostly in the wire & cable industry. DeWAL Industries can
produce packaging using flat pads from 3/8” wide to 8” wide
along with traverse wound packages from ¼” to ¾”. Traverse
packages allow the user to get more length and narrower widths
when needed.
